The Futura fins started behind the doors and had an air scoop in their forward ends. On the Batmobile, the fins are extended forward to about even with the frame of the forward canopy in a smooth, streamlined curve. I removed the curved sides of the air scoops back to the flat "grill." The bottom of the fin extension was a simple shape with straight inside and back sides and a curved outside edge. The top piece was a little more complicated because there is a slight channel between the top of the door and the coaming of the canopy. The inside edge of the fin is in the bottom of the channel at its rear and on the top of the door at the point, giving it sort of a stretched "S" curve. I shaped this by a series of trial fits, removing as little material as possible after each trial until I got a close fit. Of course, there were still gaps to fill with superglue. The outside edge was beveled to fit flat against the lower side.
