Hot brass cartridges spewed from the ejection chutes. Chuck pulled his machine up right over the War Wheel and gained altitude for another pass. The thumb-sized rounds from the machine guns had knocked dirt and paint off the ponderous Wheel, but that seemed to be all. It looked like this one was as well armored as the earlier ones.
