Death Star Diorama 34

The Millennium Falcon has an opening in the bow between the loading mandibles that extends well-like back into the hull. The kit is simplified with a flush wall where the opening should be. Since I had removed this along with the rest of the original sides, it was not difficult to include the "well" when I rebuilt the sides. I first cemented .020" sheet styrene to the top and bottom hull pieces to make the interior walls of the well. Then I simply extended the inside walls of the mandibles back to approximately even with the disk edge (this was a guess since I could not tell from watching the movies or studying my references how far back this opening actually goes.)
