Moby Dick 13

A standing, bearded officer figure became Ahab. His left leg was amputated just below the knee and white stretched sprue simulated the whale bone prosthesis described by Melville. I cut off his arms and repositioned them to grasp the harpoon. Ahab was painted wearing a vest over a white shirt. His black hair and beard have a white streak in them, modeled on Gregory Peck's appearance in the movie version of MOBY DICK.
