Harpoons and lances have shafts of brass rod and heads of stretched sprue. The two-flue head on the harpoon is just a small triangle of thin plastic cemented to the the sprue. I split a stryene plank into a "fork" to become the harpoon rest. Oars are brass rod shafts with plastic card blades. I made the mast and yard by chucking small wood dowels in a moto-tool and shaping them with sandpaper as they turned. The sail is a triangle of tissue painted with thinned white glue and rolled on the yard. It was less than a third as deep as an actual sail so as not to be too bulky. Sail and yard were then lashed to the mast.
