I used Grandt Line grating and made coamings from .040" square stock. I cut a companionway in the aft deck and installed a ladder salvaged from Revell's Cutty Sark kit. The pinrails also came from the Cutty Sark kit. The cannon barrels and carriages were taken from a Lindberg kit. They had an archaic look that seemed appropriate. The pivot mounts were scratchbuilt from strip plastic and the semicircular tracks were cut from .010" sheet. Before all these fittings were installed, I masked the deck and airbrushed the hull flat red.
