The hull plating is made of rectangular and trapezoidal pieces cut from .030" sheet styrene, cemented to the structure pictured. Before they were cemented in place, I made cutouts for the "liftwood" panels and cemented .020" sheet over the openings on the interior side of the plates. Since most plates met at other than 90 degree angles, their edges were beveled by scraping them with a hobby knife.
