Moon 02

The model comes with a resin base on which it is intended to stand. Unfortunately, the surface of this resin "Moon" looks nothing like the cracked, dried lake bed surface that is seen in the movie. Because of this, and the fact that the fins are so thin I did not feel confident that they could support the model over time, I decided to display the model "in flight." But since the kit had been designed to stand on its fins, the bottom round part of the landing nacelles was missing. I replaced them with the noses from plastic bombs from the spares box.
