Killer Shark

The most frequent and dangerous opponent of the Blackhawks, Killer Shark was their arch nemisis. Basically, he was a plunderer, but his persistance and his vast array of diabolical machines and devices made him a worthy foe. For a good portrait of Killer Shark, check the cover of No. 250. In the second revival of Blackhawk, Evanier and Spiegle provide an origin for Killer Shark in issue No. 269 as a special agent created by the Nazis. Go to No. 270 for a portrait of this Killer Shark. We can rationalize this origin by supposing that he survived the war and became the costumed criminal we see in the Silver Age Blackhawk.

Killer Shark had an arsenal of fantastic machines with which he committed his crimes, but the triphibious Shark Jet was his normal means of transportation. It appeared on the covers of issues No. 70 and No. 225. This picture is from issue No. 168.

This larger Shark Jet was quickly destroyed by the Blackhawks in issue No. 216.

This non-flying Sawfish Sub made its first appearance in No. 128. Later, it served Killer Shark and Queen Killer Shark (formerly Lady Blackhawk) in issue No. 204.

From this unseaworthy looking bubble sub, Killer Shark controlled various sea creatures to attack shipping and the Blackhawks, from issue No. 170.

Not Killer Shark, but one of his henchmen, nearly got the Black Knights with this steel octopus, in issue No. 130.

Killer Shark, himself, pilots this later model steel octopus, in issue No. 200.

Killer Shark launched these exploding, mechanical fish against shipping in issue No. 183 from his Sea Fortress.
