I saw the movie in a theater when it premiered in 1982 and was immediately taken by the image of the solar sailer. I determined to build a model of it and started that process fairly soon after seeing it. There weren't a lot of references at that time. There were no screencaps from high resolution digital copies of the movie. We didn't even get VHS tapes until months after the movie had left theaters. There was no internet with sites devoted just to this particular movie as there are now. I think I had a few images published in magazines like Starlog and my memories of the movie and that was about it.
