Death Star Diorama 39

The aft end of the fuselage is molded flat with no detail. I cut the whole end out, making a rectangular opening. I cemented a plastic bulkhead inside the fuselage to make a recess in the tail. To the bulkhead, I then cemented a disk sliced from stretched sprue and other bits to approximate the appearance of the prototype. Next, I squared and enlarged the openings left in the sides of the fuselage when the wings were removed. I test-fit the wings frequently to make sure I didn't make the openings too big. When I was satisfied with the fit, I cemented the fuselage halves together with the interlocked wings trapped between them.
