A gamma-ray laser, or graser, is a hypothetical device that would emit a beam of coherent gamma radiation, just as an ordinary laser produces coherent rays of visible light. In the Honorverse, a graser is described as being vastly superior in power and size compared to standard X-ray lasers and are typically found on larger warships, though some newer, specialized light attack craft also employ them.

The Shrike class LAC is built around a graser just as the A-10 Thunderbolt II's airframe was designed around the high-power 30 mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary autocannon.

I painted the emitter of the centrally mounted graser with a Molotow chrome pen.
