Umidori 01

F-Toys is a Japanese company that produces pre-built and pre-painted models, often licensed from media sources such as anime, TV or movies. They produced a set of five models (in various scales) based on Zipang: the JDS Mirai, the MVSA-32J Umidori (a VTOL aircraft invented for the series), the USS Wasp, the I-21 submarine and a Type 2 float plane. The model had some alignment problems so I disassembled the wings and tail from the fuselage. The wings were glued back onto the fuselage insuring that they were perpendicular to the vertical center line of the fuselage. To make it easier to reattach the tail and to strengthen the connection, a piece of steel wire was glued into a holes drilled in the tail cone and the end of the boom. The tail was glued back onto the fuselage insuring it was parallel with the wings.
