The original spacesuit kit. I purchased it almost thirty years ago and did not remember the manufacturer. But interest in the source led me to re-examine the kit and I noticed print on the small disk in the corner of the tree. It says "R&L" on one side and "Made in Australia" on the other. An internet search revealed that these kits were originally produced in Australia as cereal premiums, but they were distributed in the USA by Aurora under the name Snap-a-roos. This kit was part of the Snap-A-Roos "EXPLORERS OF SPACE" Model kit. As can be seen in this photo, in the kit the arms are molded as one piece with the body of the figure. I had to carefully cut them apart to create a more natural pose.
