on 2026-Jan-18 06:14:20 Administrator said The pawl and ratchet assemblies were made by cutting the barrel apart and inserting disks of plastic to simulate the ratchet gear and the pawl guides. The pawls are short lengths of wire glued into holes in the timbers supporting the end of the bowsprit.
