This is the amphibious shuttle illustration alone. The idea of a space shuttle capable of landing on water like a seaplane was not entirely original to Heinlein but he used it well in BETWEEN PLANETS. It is one of the most visually interesting technologies in the novel. The other ships and stations are typical of those used in Heinlein's "Future History."
