Between Planets Shuttle 10

The MIG's vertical stabilizer had the length to make a good fin for the amphib shuttle but it had to be modified. The tail was cut in a staight line along the top. This was then sanded to an airfoil shape. The bottom rear below the rudder was notched. Brass pins inserted into holes drilled in the bottom of the fin provide alignment and reinforce the joint between the tail and the fuselage.
