The twin bubble canopy is molded in fairly thick plastic. I cut out the center sections, leaving the narrow flat section joining the front and rear halves. The distance between the front and rear frames was less than the length of the door, so I sawed across the joining section and added a 0.40" thick piece to extend the opening by 0.1". Then another piece of 0.40" thick sheet was cut to the shape of the flat longitudinal center section and glued to the inside of the canopy. The top of the bridge between the fore and aft canopies is fitted with two fins and a police car style light. I cut the fins from sheet styrene and made the streamlined pod that tops each fin from the pointed tail cones of some small torpedoes from an old visible submarine kit. The conical section light was cut from the tail cone of a much larger bomb and detailed with 0.015" x 0.020" strips cemented vertically.
