Batmobile 1966 02

I’m a life-long fan of comics and Batman so the TV Batmobile was definitely a model I wanted to build. There is now a very nice 1/25 kit available from Polar Lights, but that was not the case when I built this model. Back then, the only plastic kit was that produced by Aurora in conjunction with the show, but it was too rare and expensive to build, and an odd scale for automobile models (1/32). There were several resin kits of the TV Batmobile, but the ones I'd seen were either poorly made or inaccurate. When Revell/Monogram re-released the Lincoln Futura (in 2004), it seemed natural to imitate Barris in 1/25 scale and convert the Futura into the Batmobile.
