The Dreaded Brain Beam: The Blackhawks venture to the small village of Litz to learn the cause of an out break of communism in many western villages ringing the iron curtain. They meet one of their most fiendish foe's Death Eye. He is an imposing figure in his red tights and flowing cape. In the middle of his forehead is an electronic eye projecting a hypnotizing beam. In the coarse of battling this foe all but Blackhawk fall under Death Eye's spell. In a final confrontation, Death Eye tries to will Blackhawk to leap to his death. Using a mirror Blackhawk reflects the beam back to Death Eye who leaps to his own doom.
Chop Chop: While trying to learn to roller skate Chop Chop is accosted by two shady characters. They sabotage Chop Chop's skates which ultimately causes him to foil their attempted robbery. (Reprint BH # 40)
The End Of Blackhawk Island: A red scientist, Dr. Genius, has designed a machine to generate tidal waves. His plan to destroy Blackhawk Island succeeds, but the Blachawks escape the disaster. Blackhawk reasons the island was in need of modernization and this is the perfect opportunity. The Blackhawks test many new machines and weapons, all of which fail. They discover Dr. Genius sabotaging their tests, and in his attempt to escape in the Blackhawks super raft, he meets his doom in the craft he has sabotaged.
Operation Baby: Non Blackhawk text story. A North Korean ammunition dump has been spared air attack because the enemy has a Korean mother and her babies staked as bait in the center of the compound. Scout, Sergeant Peters rescues them just as the U.N. aircraft strike the dump.
The Race Of Doom: The top scientist of Democratic Rurvania, professor Moxon is dying and contacts Blackhawk to give him the location of his laboratory. The message is overheard by the Reds who dispatch General Baslov, known as The Hound, to defeat the Blackhawks and secure the professors inventions. After several failed attempts to destroy the Blackhawks, General Baslov is assassinated by one of his own agents. The Blachawks defeat the agent and his men and save the professors laboratory.
