The Blackhawks' jets swooped and climbed, avoiding the FW 190s' fire while trying to get the enemy planes in their sights. Blackhawk squeezed the trigger on his control stick, firing a precisely measured burst of .50 caliber rounds at the dark green and gray aircraft in his crosshairs. It exploded with a satisfying "Whump". The pieces of the fighter hung in the air for a moment, as if suspended by wires, then fell toward Earth.
