    The main part of this model started life as an Aurora Ragnarok Orbital Interceptor kit. The Ragnarok is, apparently, a very rare 1975 reissue of an even rarer 1959 kit. I probably bought it cheap and it was sitting on the shelf with all my other boxes of kits. I just saw it as raw material for a scratch-building project.
