Rocket Pack

The upper parts of the nacelles were made from inexpensive plastic storage jars. The jars were molded from thick, clear styrene and had a nice taper and ogive on the bottoms. I cut out the bottoms and inserted 'nose cones' made from cheap plastic funnels. The spouts of the funnels were cut off and 'points' made from sheet styrene finished off these pieces and gave them the right look. The funnels were attached to the spacers that come in packages of CD-R discs, which turned out to be just the right diameter to fit inside the jars. Superglue and sheet metal screws made everything permanent.
