March 1952 "El Halcón Negro" Año 1, Nº9, Editora de Periódicos "La Prensa" of México. Sporting a great Crandalish cover, this issue has contents of over-average quality. "Pilotos Infernales" ("Hell Pilots"), with the distinct Crandall seal on the art and the Woolfolk mastery
storytelling, open the mag in a 10-page story full of suspense and thrills; the "Chop-Chop" 5-pager, then, makes a fine comic relief, to be followed by "La Nube de la Muerte" ("Death Cloud"), and "Las Aguas de la Paz Fatal" ("Fatal Peace Waters"), these two stories handled by artists other than Crandall, but fully enjoyable also. A pretty example of a title which from the very beginning of its run established itself as one of the most popular comic books of the period, fondly remembered by nostalgic readers and highly coveted by dedicated collectors.
