Death Warmed Over: This story follows the events related in issue #3. The daughter of Sir Death Mayhew is a Soviet agent. She has recreated the White Lions to exact revenge on Blackhawk. Hendrickson rejoins the team in time for a CIA mission to supply weapons to insurgents in Albania. The White Lions attack and wound Chuck and Andre. Meanwhile we learn that Hendrickson is the father of Natalie's son. Blackhawk uses a jet-powered autogyro to knock out the White Lions over the Mediterrean. Lady Blackhawk engages Sybil Mayhew in hand-to-hand combat, but is saved from death by Blackhawk, who cold-bloodily shoots Comrade Mayhew at point blank range. (DLT: This scene is the sort of thing that keeps me from really liking this incarnation of the Blackhawks. It has precedent in the very earliest stories, in which Blackhawk was portrayed as a ruthless vigilante, but I prefer the honorable, humane Blackhawk who came later.) Hendrickson dies when the experimental autogyro explodes over the sea.
To Punch a Hole in the Sky: A Blackhawk Express story. Weng Chan's nephew steals an experimental, B-2 like bomber and takes it for a joy ride to prove he's a hot pilot.
The Annual concludes with biographies of each of the major characters, in the style of the "Who's Who in the DC Universe" books.
