A true ladies' man and soldier of fortune, the dapper Frenchman was a leader in the French underground and is a linquist par excellence. Andre is known for his military planning and during the war, he worked alongside Blackhawk, preparing their daring raids.
When the team tried it's short lived experiment with "secret identities," Andre revealed a previously unheralded talent for all things mechanical and became "M'sieu Machine" (#230).
In the last days of the Blackhawks' operations Andre was apparently running a plush Paris supper club(#244). He may have retired there when the team ceased to exist in the '70s.
